This was a great read, and one of the reasons I love Medium in general.

The way you described your behavior, a sort of deep infatuation, is the way my wife behaves around me - even after 25 years. Her father once pulled me aside at a family gathering and said “She worships you, you know.” What do I even say to that? Other than to acknowledge how lucky I am and try to reciprocate the love.
