4 Ways the Ukraine War Could End
Looking to the past to analyze the future of Ukraine.
If the shirtless, equine aficionado Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin had his way, the Ukraine War would have ended after a mere 72 hours and culminated with the installation of a puppet regime in Kyiv friendly to Moscow.
But wars are rarely that neat and tidy.
In reality, it turned out Ukraine had no intention of letting Putin illegally annex their country, much to Putin’s dismay.
In fact, I believe that even if the United States and NATO allies hadn’t stepped in with financial and military aid, Ukraine would still be fighting one hell of an insurgency — making life miserable for the occupiers.
I’ve been writing about the Russo-Ukraine conflict since about 2016 and now that Ukraine is embroiled in a fight for their survival, it’s worth asking the question: How will this war end?
Historically, this is an intriguing question…
Unless you’re the United States, in which case you enjoy declaring war on abstract ideas (like the War on Drugs or the War on Terror) most wars seldom last forever, and there are numerous ways that wars can end. In this sense, history can be our guide in helping us analyze how the current Ukraine War might eventually end.
