As a veteran advocate, I suspect anyone with a military service background finds many difficult tasks in the civilian world easier than non-military affiliated. The challenge is to keep voluntarily seeking difficulty, even after one has achieved comfort. Being comfortable with the uncomfortable is the greatest gift my government has ever given me.
